Tom is having another surgery.

Just wanted to give everyone a heads up. Tom developed an infection in his wound over the weekend. He saw the doc yesterday. They did labs and an MRI and called last night to say he needed to be at the hospital first thing this morning. Apparently it is staph again. This time they are more concerned because it is in his spinal canal.

He was at the hospital this morning at 10am. I haven't heard anything yet saying he is out of surgery. I will keep everyone posted. They plan to keep him overnight for sure and possibly longer if necessary.

Keep him in your prayers!

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween! We made it (barely) through one more! Yup, my children have an incredible amount of energy and excitement WITHOUT being loaded with sugar. You can only imagine what they are like after handfuls of Halloween candy! WOW!
So, you would think I would learn that inevitably Halloween is hot in Texas. But nope, I plan for it to be cold and then when it hits, it is too hot to wear our costumes. It was a nice 82 degrees this year. Izzy was supposed to be Ladybug but her furry costume wasn't gonna work. I decided last minute to make her a fairy and I loved it. She was so beautiful. Her wings were a scarf from the thrift store wrapped around hangers and I got a ton of compliments on them. They really were beautiful. I don't think she smiled once the whole time. She was quite confused on why we would get candy from cars at church!
My babe...

Benjamin ended up as a bug after a run to the thrift store at 5pm on Halloween. Gotta love it. His costume ended up costing $.50! Woot! I thought it was only appropriate that he be a "Ben Bug" as the kids were calling him.

Dunkan decided to go as a mobster. Doesn't he look grown up. I seriously think he has grown another inch. He also cut his hair. It looks really great. My handsome man.

Zach was going to go as a Ninja. He even had the whole sword set and everything. However, he had dismantaled and taken it all apart a week before Halloween and couldn't find all the peices that night. Good grief. So he wore his karate uniform and took his lightsabor. He was a very confused jedi I guess! It turned out his master (Bro. Jensen!) was there too. You should have seen the look on Zach's face! It was too cute.

And then we went to Costco and Walmart while we waited for Dunk to be ready to be picked up from his party. NEVER take children in costumes grocery shopping all hopped up on sugar past their bedtimes. Needless to say, it was a disaster. We won't do that again next year!
So that was our Halloween! LOL! Pumpkins and Pumkin Patch coming soon!
