For any of you who have ever had a child complete an eagle project, you know what an undertaking this is! Dunkan did a great job and really learned alot in having to "provide leadership". That is the real learning part of all this! So he had his actual project on Saturday April 12th and the weather stayed beautiful for us. It was really windy so we all ended up with sun/wind burns, but it was a fine price to pay!
The guys started at 9am and I came along shortly after with dounuts and juice. We made sure to have gatorade and water as well. I think Izzy and Zach enjoyed the dounuts the most. Dunkan had set up building stations for tables and benches and so everyone assembled everything. They tried to get some staining done, but the wind made it very hard to keep it from going everywhere. Dunkan decided to have us wait and to finish for their scout activity on Wednesday night. So without further ado... here are some pictures!
The Finished Project...
Lastly, I thought I would share what my house looked like. Tornado Eagle Project hit hard. This was all the night before the project. It was 1am before we finished prep stuff and no one wanted to clean up. Tom would DIE if he knew I showed anyone these! Our house never gets this bad! LOL!
The Garage...
The backyard...
The kitchen and dining room...
The family room and kitchen counter...
We are so proud of him. He did a great job and has really demonstrated dedication as he worked through all of this. I think it was way more hard work than he thought. He just has to finish a few things and he should be good to go!! I'll update when it is all done!
